It sticks extremely closely to the established formula, asks very little of the player, yet reliably rewards them with many hours of fun. If you've never tried one, this is as good a place as any to start. If you don't like them, you won't like this (and why are you reading this review?). This one has the most characters and the most variety in stages, so, if you like them, is the one to have. I've put hundreds of hours across several platforms into Warriors games, and they're all basically the same (except Dynasty Warriors 9, but we don't talk about that) so you really only need to have one of them.
#WARRIORS OROCHI 4 ULTIMATE STEAM PC#
Weapon enhancements are hopelessly unbalanced and terribly explained. Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate, featuring new story elements, including side stories, releases on Februon PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One X, and PC via Steam. The difficulty curve is a horizontal line most of the time and then a vertical line when you least expect it.

The sound, graphics, frankly the whole performance of the thing, is adorably poor next to that of its peers. The main (possibly only) appeal of this, as with any Warriors game, is the gameplay - it's fun, simple, relaxing, almost therapeutic at times, extremely repetitive yet endlessly satisfying. Warriors Orochi 4 is very much a Warriors game, and my favourite of the ones currently available on steam*.

Some people refer to it as a Hack and Slash game, but I feel this is too subtle a term for this series. If anyone looking at this game isn't already aware, Warriors games (that's Dynasty, Samurai, Orochi, Hyrule, All-Stars.) in which you run around pressing square/x, and in doing so rack up a K.O.
